A little about me...

I grew up in South Africa and obtained my primary degree in Medical Physiology and Anatomy from The university of the Witwatersrand. I completed my medical degree at the University of London (University College), graduating in 1993.
Following my graduation and internships, I completed my General Practice training in London. I also worked as a Flying Doctor service in remote northern Canada.
After returning to England I became a partner in a medical practice in Brighton where I practiced for eight years. I loved living in England and enjoyed the proximity to Europe but the English weather finally drove me away and I moved to Brisbane with my family in 2007.
I am married with two children and two black Labradors. When I am not working, I enjoy metalwork and mosaic, rollerblading, motorcycling and a good book on a soft sofa.
I believe in allowing my patients the time they need in order to treat them effectively. I do not practice "conveyor - belt" medicine.
I practice from Paddington Medical Centre in north west Brisbane.
The practice is a multi-disciplinary medical centre with both male and female doctors, all with their own areas of specialty, and supported by registered nurses and allied health practitioners including dietician and podiatry.

Special interests
General Practice covers all areas of health and medicine. Out of this rich variety, many GP's find a few areas of particular interest to them, in which they specialise, as well as continuing to provide general medical services..
